The oak has long been considered a „german“ tree. Their hard wood and the characteristic, late-falling foliage have made them a symbol of immortality and steadfastness since Germanic times.
Oakwood brings a lot of valuable properties. Particularly outstanding is the robustness and durability of the oak. In addition, oak wood is very weather-resistant and resistant, which is why it is often used in house construction or in the garden. In the outdoor area, it can even be used untreated. Otherwise, there are also other methods of wood processing, such as pickling or painting. „The oak wood“ is also very strong and hardly warps.
For the KONUSMEISTER we use the wild oak, which is only suitable for indoor use.
The term „wild oak“ refers to a special sorting of oak. For furniture, wood is selected from oak trees that carry as many branches as possible, creating the typical rustic color and rustic texture of wild oak.
